Birth control symptoms?

Hello ladies!

I’ve recently been put on birth control for both symptom relief and future pregnancy protection. My gyno prescribed me Vienva and I’ve noticed in the week and a half since I started taking it, I’ve become a bit more irritable, especially towards my girl friends. I feel like queen of the world talking to guys, but for some reason I can’t seem to carry on a 20 minute conversation, let alone be in the same room as another girl. I’m also a college student, so yeah I’m a bit stressed with finals coming up, but I would think that I wouldn’t be able to talk to either gender if the stress was the case. And I noticed I’m more irritated with things that didn’t bother me before.

Is this just a hormonal symptom that will eventually get regulated and go away? If not, is there any way to know when I need to be concerned?
