Discouraged

Im 42y old and I had tried for 2 years after having a miscarriage and 7 months ago finally went to seek help with a fertility dr. She said it’s hard at my age and recently had a D&c; cause I had polyps in my uterus they said all it’s good clean now my dr gave a shot to help me ovulate and gave this pills to inserting my uterus that should help with strength my uterus. Hubby and I had sex as prescribed but nothing happened and now she says they only hope cause of my age is in vitro. Who has done a successful in vitro? I feel like just give up.
