Would you?? Trigger warning: bullying and suicide

Question

Option 1: you get banned from this app forever, but no one EVER gets bullied on the app again
Option 2: you stay, but the bullying continues 
Would you choose this app over another's life? I think we all know the link between bullying and suicide. So...if you could prevent bullying on this app simply by either getting banned or NEVER getting on again, would you? If you wouldn't, why not? What is so special about this app that makes it more important than someone's life?

As I said on the other post, I’d stay. Because I’ve used other apps as they’re not as good with tracking imo. Bullying is to be expected on the internet. Remove yourself if it’s affecting you. Or block/mute whoever is doing the bullying/harassing. From experience, it totally works. Problem solved, everyone’s happy.

I don't get online bullying. If ignoring them isn't enough, why not block them?

I would definitely take getting banned if it meant saving someone from bullying and attacks.... but would that really solve anything? What could/can the community do as a whole to prevent that from happening? Everyone getting themselves banned by lashing out doesn’t fix the problem... it will just get the issue swept under the rug. The bullies aren’t going anywhere unfortunately. It’s sad that Hex and others do not feel safe here... it’s truly truly sad. I don’t know Hex very well- I have only talked with them maybe once or twice but have only ever seen positive and informative comments from them. Nobody deserves to be treated disrespectfully... especially on this app where there are sooo many rules about what is not supposed to be tolerated. My first instinct when all of this started earlier was to delete my account in an attempt to boycott this app... I’m still considering it but then also thinking about who really wins in doing that? That’s exactly what these bullies want.. they want the people they dislike to leave. They cause a stir.. they cause drama.. they enjoy this rise out of everyone- they want everyone banned or to leave. I joined this community a few years ago and I am just disgusted with how bad it has gotten since then... there are very toxic negative people floating around and it has ruined this place. Such a shame that it continues as it does..
