Feminists: why you so mad?!

I just don’t understand why so many feminists are so dead set on having their own career and making money. Feminists want it so that the traditional family setup will be no more.... but WHY?! 
Why are feminists so against the traditional gender roles? Since I was a kid I’ve always dreamt about being a stay-at-home wife who’s husband comes home from work everyday. I mean, do y’all really want to deal with the burden of “making it”? 
I just don’t get it. I sure hope I can be a stay-at-home wife

You don't know what it means to be a feminist is do you lady? Being a feminist means that you don't HAVE to be stuck in gender roles. I was a stay at home mom for 3 years. Still a feminist. Feminism is being against the idea that a women's place is to care for the children and more of letting a woman decide what she wants to do with her life. Feminism is equality for all.

I don’t care what anyone else decides to do with their lives. I just want to be given the equal opportunity to achieve my dreams. I want to be seen for what I’m worth. If I am as capable and qualified as another person, I would like to have the chance to be chosen for that position based off of my abilities. That’s what I fight for! I’m extremely passionate about my career and research. I’m involved with the scientific and academic community and I am able to maintain a wonderful family life with my husband. I know I will also be a great mom while working to achieve my dreams when my son makes it here in February. More power to you if you dream to be a stay at home mom, not a single thing in the world wrong with that in my opinion. I It used to be looked down upon for a woman to have a career and a family.  just believe in getting the opportunity to follow my dreams as well.

I’m a feminist and I’m not angry...? I think you have a lot of things confused. If you’re fine in the traditional female gender role, then that’s totally great for you! It’s just that feminists believe that women shouldn’t be forced into those roles if they don’t want to be. You want to be, which is completely okay!

Feminism is about the freedom of choice. I want the choice to either go out and get a fulfilling career and be seen as an equal to my mail counterpart OR be a stay at home mom who cooks and cleans. I don't want to be forced to do either one, I want that choice to do what I see fit with my life. That's what feminism is about. Having the choice to do what you want with your life. Just because you chose to live one way doesn't mean I should be forced to live the same way.

So everyone should have to follow your dreams of being a stay at home for the sake of a traditional family? We don’t like gender roles because they’re limiting and dangerous. Because I wanted to better myself by learning a musical instrument, yet was told by my conservative parents that girls don’t play drums. Because my brother crying is seen as weak, but when I cry, it’s expected because I’m a histrionic, emotional female.
