what do you think he's doing?

Heya guys! I have a quick question.. My boyfriend and I have been together on and off for 3 years but this last year, we've been taking it very seriously and stayed together. He's kind of a big deal, been with me through the toughest times in my life and he even took me in when I was homeless (when we first met). Anyways.. My boyfriend isn't into watches or jewelry that much but I've noticed when we walk by a display case full of jewelry he always wants to look at the watches.. a sudden interest in watches? what I'm thinking may be a little far fetched here but I think he wants me to find a ring that captures my interest. do you think he's just trying to get me to pick a ring? if you're wondering how I react, I just look at the watches with him and completely ignore the rings.. I don't want him to feel pressured if in getting the wrong idea.
