should we tell?

I'm 7 weeks and 5 days today. my husband can't wait to tell our families but I am unsure. I haven't had an ultrasound yet...not for two more weeks. I am scared that we will get to the ultrasound and there will be no heartbeat. but I would love to tell my mother. at the very least so j have someone to talk to (hubby is great but can oknly understand so much)....what do you all think?

I’ve always told earlier than most. I just figure if anything did go wrong heaven forbids us want family to be understanding and supportive instead of going through it ourselves.

We told the people we would want there to support us if something happened . And we were the one in four three times ...... so it was very nice to have support and love and to be able to talk about it . I wouldn't announce it on social media just yet but hey to each their own

It’s truly about how comfortable the two of you are when telling. I told my sister the moment I found out (shh don’t tell my hubby, he was sleeping when I found out so she knew first 🙈) and told my mom, dad and in laws at 6 weeks. Our thoughts were if something were to happen, I’d want their support. I’d need their support. But I know myself and my mom is best friend so I was excited to tell her and have her support if something did happen AND if something didn’t.
It is your decision though! If you’re uncomfortable, don’t tell anyone. It’s okay to keep the secret!

We have lost five and have four living children. We told just our parents and my husbands sister first. Each time we had a loss our parents were there to comfort us and help us, mostly me with the house and the kids as I got very depressed. My husbands sister had suffered losses so she would check in on me through the weeks and see if I was ok or if I needed to talk. The first time it happened she asked if I was ok and I told her how sad I was and how I felt completely and she said she understood and if I needed to cry that I should cry as much as I needed to and if I just didn’t feel I could get myself out of bed and function that I should just get some rest and sleep if I could. It was wonderful having those few people there. Each few days I had to get my blood drawn and when I had those days my husbands dad and step mom would take us out to dinner just to get us out of the house for a while and make sure we ate. It was wonderful. It doesn’t always end in miscarriage and I know it’s scary and you should tell when you are ready but for me having just a small circle of people there to support us through the dark times helped immensely. Because when you go through it alone it feels like you can’t breathe, like you are all alone and no one cares even though it’s not true. Once they know they can help you celebrate or IF something bad happens they can help you grieve. I pray all the best for you and send lots of love! Congratulations!🎊🎉 💕
