When did you move your baby to 1 nap a day.

Question

My child is showing some signs of wanting to move to one nap. I’m totally at a loss if she’s actually ready. When did you move your child to 1 nap. What were the signs? How long did the transition take? Were they super cranky during it? Desperate for help!!!

She did it on her own really at 10 months. She’s 11.5 months now and she’s actually wanting two naps now for some reason.

She transitioned to 1 nap at daycare around 14 mo, but would still do 2 naps on the weekend. 
Fully transitioned to 1 nap around 17 months. 
It was super tricky. She would be super ready for a nap at 9-ish, but then would have a hell of a time falling asleep for the 2nd nap. That's how we knew it was time. We started pushing her awake time to get as close to 11am as possible, and just do 1 nap. We'd adjust bedtime as needed. So some days she'd go to bed at 5/530pm.

At 13.5 months my child start refusing her second nap, for a week she didn't take it at all, instead we did quiet time. I then began pushing her first nap later. Took about a week to get her back from a 930 nap to 1130. She now goes down around 12 and gets up between 2-3pm.

Its really trial and error. Try the one nap if super cranky or not coping go back to the two naps its what i did. My sons 11 months nearly but he went to 1 nap a day at 4months of age hes really not a sleeping baby. Still has me up during the night too.
