If you feel like you MUST get her something, get her something nice. Don't stoop to her level; she wins that way. The second she knows she got to you, she has all the power. Be gracious to her when you have to be around her and just stay the fuck away from her the rest of the time. Man, kill that bitch with kindness. It will drive her up a WALL if you don't let her bs get to you. But honestly, if she's this horrid, why doesn't your husband put an end to it? If my MIL called me a whore I'd never be around her or let her in my home, and she'd never see my baby until a sincere apology was given.
