Not as excited...??

Question

Is it bad that I am not as excited about being pregnant? I almost cannot allow myself to feel happy or excited. I dont want to get my hopes up. I lost what wouldve been our second child in March at 12 weeks. It was the absolute worst thing I have been through. I dont want to go through that ever again. I am scared to be happy and excited. It doesnt feel real yet either.

I’m much more cautious this time around. Sadly I don’t feel as connected with the baby but I’m sure that will change after the first trimester. 💜

I know how you are feeling.. I'm 11 weeks 3 days with my rainbow....i have my second ultrasound this Monday and even though I feel fine, I'm still nervous that something may go wrong.  I'm excited about this baby, but at the same time nervous and scared to get too attached.  my husband and I just told our kids 2 days ago and I'm so scared that they will have to go through another loss....but I have faith and pray for this little one everyday and I know in my heart this baby will be healthy and things will be okay.. Sending prayers to you and a happy healthy 9 months to you.

I lost my first pregnancy this past March too.  D&C; literally on st Patrick’s day, and later that day saw sis in laws sister announce her surprise pregnancy with the guy she met only a few weeks b4 junior was conceived.  Good friends delivered in June, August and September.  Seriously???
I mc with #2 early in September and am now 5w3d with lucky #3.  Definitely more scared than excited at this point :(

Can 100% relate and it’s normal.  I no longer enjoy the blissful ignorance and naïveté that most women do.  I personally am not sure if I’ll feel excited until the baby is born.

I feel the same so scared to feel excited I’ve taken two tests both positive I’m 6 weeks and I can’t get to grips with it. I was so frightened to take the second test but I did it and it’s positive I want to get a scan done but don’t know if they will be able to see anything yet?

agreed! i had a mc at 11 weeks in March and was the worst experience of my life. I have a 3.5 yr old and all she keeps asking for is a sister lol every cramp and twinge has me wondering if everything's ok

I’m almost 15 weeks with my rainbow baby and it still doesn’t feel real or safe. I am a little excited but I feel like I’m not as excited as I want to be or should be. Once I feel him I think I’ll get more excited. Good luck!
