hand wash or machine?

Question

before my son comes I am in FULL BLOWN NESTING and is washing all of his stuff. my mom wants to hand wash all of his clothes and blanket (which he has A LOT OF!) but I was just going to toss them all in a machine with the baby detergent I purchased. Any mommas out there think it be better to let Grandma hand wash his clothes?

Personally I would trust the washing machine more, with 2 rinse cycles. I don't want to risk some soap left of the clothes. But I have sensitive skin and that's how I wash mine.

Either is fine, but you’ll get pretty tired of hand washing after a while! I used the machine for everything, even for our crocheted blankets that his Oma made for him (on an extremely gentle cycle, then air dry). For my son’s clothes now we toss them in with our normal laundry without even thinking about it.

Washing machine is the way to go. I do hers on delicate.. but now that I say that I don’t know why. 🤣
I also just use all free and clear. 
No need to hand wash.

It’s sweet that she wants to hand wash everything. However, I’m super sensitive to detergents and need to make sure everything is double rinsed or I have an allergic reaction. I’d machine wash and ask her for help with sorting and folding once everything is dry.
