Okay working/breastfeeding moms...what have you found is the best shift arrangement for you and baby?

Is part time an option for you?
I’m a nurse and took a call-in position. I get to pick my shifts so now I work once a week. I can’t imagine being away from my baby any more than that. I also chose to work night shift while my baby is sleeping so I don’t feel like I’m missing out too much. Plus every single nurse Mom I work with has dried up after returning to work full time ☹️ Yes, they legally allow us to pump multiple times a shift but as a nurse, sometimes it’s just not possible. 
Just the other night when I worked I had no time to pump. I had an admission, my patient had to go to CT, a new PCA to set up, a blood sugar of 58 that was taking forever to fix, a hard stick that 3 of us couldn’t get an IV in who needed 2 units of blood AND a protonix drip, a dressing change, a vent/trach patient on tube feeding 😩 Anyway you get the picture lol. I had NO time to pump. This is a regular thing that happens in the hospital and if I worked multiple times a week, I would for sure dry up. 
My daughter is 10 months now. Working to breastfeed till 12 months and then weaning her.
