Your friends are awesome, she taught you to value yourself.
Let's just say my friends did the same thing without them saying anything.
They made me suffer so much over literally nothing, that I withdrew myself and worked every minute to changed my thought process, my reaction, my believes, and increased my self esteem. 
I ended up with a superiority complex from a bad case of inferiority one. 
Well whatever, no matter how much I hate them, I like them because they were the reason I achieved so much in life, they tried to pull me down by saying and doing nothing but I soar higher than their achievements. And at the same time they don't realise their contribution in my life. I am not a regular teenager anymore, all thanks to them. To them I am a dear friend. To me, they are independent stupid leaders.
