So my husband and I never really do Christmas gifts as we’ve never had the extra money since we’ve been together. In the four years we’ve been together we only did Christmas gifts once. The next year we went to Florida and the year after we had a baby. So this year we’re expecting our second in February and decided to do gifts again. Well he’s been complaining about wanting a Nintendo switch. I looked into getting him one. It’s $300!! And that doesn’t include the game for it. The games are $75 each. Now I think that’s super expensive as I don’t like to spend money because we have our first baby and this is is his first Christmas too but in my opinion my husband could use clothes. Like seriously. His clothes are all from high school. He hasn’t had an updated wardrobe in forever. Clothes are expensive but in my opinion he could use them. Am I being crazy here? I don’t want to spend $300+ on a game when I could get him something much more practical. I feel like he will complain though because that’s what he wants but we really can’t afford to spend money on something I personally think is frivolous. I think i should go with the clothes and a few small gifts and we can slowly save up money to buy him his switch. Any advice?
