Who gets 3d Ultrasounds?

I'm just wondering if 3D ultrasounds are only for certain women like high risk or does everyone get one? Or do you have to pay for one out of pocket?? I'm currently 23 weeks exactly and I would really love one of my baby girl😢 I'm so curious to see a sneak peak of my chunky chocolate chip 💞💞

Usually 3d ultrasounds are just for extra and for fun. You usually have to pay out of pocket for them.

3 and 4D are paid elective sonograms

They did a quick one at my anatomy scan but she was so tiny and hid her face. I just paid for an elective one yesterday and I’m so glad I did. She’s so chunky and perfect 😍🤗

They did a 4D ultrasound at my anatomy scan on Halloween. My ob considers me “low” high risk because of my history of depression... even though depression isn’t actually an indicator for high risk pregnancy (I do medical coding). Anyway, my doctor did do one.

I'm high risk with twins and we don't get them like through our OB but we've paid for 3-D and 4-D ultrasounds through a private clinic 😊
