How to make a girly pack and play look boyish?

My husband's aunt and uncle gave us this pack and play because their daughter just outgrew it recently. It was free so we figured why not. It's purple and gray with a pattern of pink, purple, grey, and green on the outside. I was thinking I could sew a light green piece of fabric over the purple mat to make it more boyish but the outside has that pattern of pink, purple, green, and gray. Do you think that would be fine for a little boy? I need ideas
