Acid Reflux? GERD? Please help 😞

I've had what feels like a sore throat on and off for a few weeks as well as random nausea. Sometimes I'll wake up in the middle of the night with throat nausea? I'll feel like gagging but not sick to my stomach. It's really scary! Anyone else experience this? What's the difference between GERD and acid reflux?
