laying on my side hurts? Copper IUD

Hi there, I've just gotten the Copper IUD inserted today. It wasn't bad, afterwards I get heavy cramps which is normal I guess. But is it weird that if i lay on my side, the cramps get worse? Please, I need your opinion, is this normal?

Same here. I could feel it for the first few days and had random pains when I moved positions or laid a certain way. Mine went away after about 3 days or so and now I don’t notice it at all

Yea laying on my back helped the most for me when I first got it. Your uterus needs some time adjusting so certain positions may be uncomfortable for a bit
