Baby shower thoughts...

I did the early gender blood test and we found out we are having another BOY, we’re so so excited to be adding another boy to our family and so is everyone else since we live in a family of mainly ALL GIRLS.

Recently I’ve been asked by friends and family if I am going to have another baby shower, at first I thought definitely not, we already have all boy related things to fill a house full from our last shower almost three years ago.

I’ve been met with different responses, like “oh just have something little, only invite close family and friends if they ask to come, you can tell everyone you just want a pack of diapers” and another “well the babies are going to be born in two different seasons so nothing is going to fit them at the right times” that last one really got me thinking, cause it’s true.

I just feel kinda selfish? Not the best word.. I feel like I already have so much but is what I have even useful? My first son was born late November, this one is due late May so there isn’t much that will fit with the season.

That brings me to my question, what are your thoughts on baby showers? Is it kinda selfish to have another one for the same gender less than a few years apart? Would you go ahead and have a small one because family and friends are basically wanting you to have one? Or would you skip the shower altogether and get what you need as needed? Give me your thoughts. I need some outside perspective from other moms because I know someone has had to have these thoughts!
