Am I wrong in this situation?
I texted my bf on Wed. to ask how his day was going, but before I could even ask he told me he was having a bad day because he got fired. I felt so bad, so I called him when I went on my break. He was obviously very upset, so I just encouraged him that he would get another job soon & said some nice other things. But, he didn’t sound like he was in the mood to talk so I told him I would call him tomorrow.
Fast forward to today. I told my mom what happened to him after I found out (& trust me, she’s not his biggest fan) but, she called me this morning & asked me to ask my bf would he be interested in running a sports program at her job (she works for a rec & parks), I called him right away. I told him to call to find out more details. My mom didn’t know the full details of the job. He got all excited & instead of calling he went to her job. Now this is not a program my mom is running, her supervisor asked her if she knew anyone that would be interested.
To make a long story short, the job was only for Saturday’s, which he already has another job on Saturday’s & he basically got upset at me as if my mom & I were getting his hopes up or something. We were just trying to help him in anyway, which I definitely feel my mom didn’t have to do. Then he goes on to say he has no one to talk to & no one is there for him! Really!! I’m so upset, I’m trying my best, but I feel like he’s being very ungrateful. Do you think my mom & I lead him on & he has a right to be mad at us?
