Elastic snap sensation on my cervix?

I’m 36+0, was walking down the hall into my living room when all of the sudden I felt like someone had snapped an elastic band on my cervix. It was sharp enough for me to bend over & call for my fiancé. Could this have been my water breaking? I have no leaking so far but my sister told me to lay down for 20 minutes & see if I start when I stand up again. Should I call my OB?

Never hurts to call the dr if you are concerned. Doesn't sound like water at all since there was no leakage at all. Sounds more like baby's head dropping down and hitting your cervix. It is very normal it's often called lightening crotch lol cuz like the name implies it feels like you've been struck by lightning in your lady parts. It sounds totally normal but again never hurts to call your ob to set your mind at ease
