Mastitis Antibiotics or Essential oils?

Dealing with a bad case of mastitis and have been trying to figure the best route to cure it. Your opinions are helpful, Thank you.

I went through 2 mastitis in the last one and a half month. The first treated with antibiotics the second with natural remedies. Apply a warm wet cloth before breastfeeding/ pumping, then empty the breast and massage it while you do it and finally apply cold to help with the pain (cold cabbage leaves work very good )
 I would recommend first try the natural remedies and if after 2-3 days you don’t start feeling better then go for the antibiotics.

Please get antibiotics. Do use essential oils to treat an infection in your breasts.

I am just finishing up my antibiotic for mastitis. I would NOT recommend natural remedies. You can develop an abscess very quickly or worse progress to sepsis. It’s very important you treat it right away. I know it sucks to have to take an antibiotic but not treating it appropriately is far worse.  Pump or nurse on the infected side every two hours to help with milk stasis as well!

Antibiotics. 
It can make you very sick, very fast and essentially ruin your breastfeeding success. My friend let hers go untreated and ended up with an abscess in 3 days. She couldn’t breastfeed after that and her Little was only a few months old.

You NEED antibiotics for it. Please, do not try a natural route first. Maybe in conjunction with meds
