Cruise Lines

My boyfriend works as tech person on a cruise ship and has been gone for 5 months. He’s coming back in 3 weeks and before he had left he’d said that he was only going to work the 6 months then come back home and find something around here.

But just yesterday he tells me he got an offer to work another 6 months to help build a cruise ship and said it would be a great opportunity for his career and he’d meet the worlds top engineers and techs and prove himself in the industry.

And like I can’t be the bad guy and tell him not to do it and not live out his dream career because I’m selfish and want him home.

And like maybe I could do another six months of this, but like what if he just keeps getting offer after offer that keeps him gone and I practically never see him again???

I’m proud of him and that he’s obviously good at what he does, but I miss him terribly and I’m starting to wonder if the heartache will be worth it in the end.
