Advice on Fertility Testing

Hey Ladies! So my husband and i have been “trying” to conceive on and off for the past 2 years. I had a fertility consult a couple of months ago and go for my HSG (dye test) in a couple of weeks. My question is...should i still go get the HSG, even though we haven’t been consistently trying for 6 months?? I’m 37 and Hubs is 48. I was thinking it wouldn’t hurt to just get the test done to make sure everything is ok down there but now I’m starting to think i should just actively and consistently try for the next 6 months. Any advice??
