Advice please

So in like 11 days I'll be 2 years with my SO. He swears up & down that he loves me but the only issue we run across is that he maybe only msgs me in the morning & don't hear from him the rest of the day. Like right now we have gone 12 hrs without talking at all, the last communication i got from him was a call & then we hanged up because he was gonna go get a haircut. I know the obvious was for me to msg him or call him & ask him whats up but im not that type of person & he knows it already. I basically have to wait i guess now until tomorrow morning & see what he has to say. Because of these small incidents it makes me think that he has someone else although he has never gave me reasons to not trust him. I basically have his passwords & he changed his phone number so really no one from his past or girls have his number & he doesn't have female friends. This only happens certain times i wanna say like once every month so it might be a lot, im really upset & yeah it puts me down because i don't know how to react as in what is the right way to react & well idk if it should even lead to a break up.
