when can teething start?

I know babies normally teeth around 6 months, but I'm wondering if it can happen earlier? My 2 month old is crying and fussing... She started sucking her hand so I thought she was hungry, but when I held her to my chest she didn't root. However when I gave her her binky, she seemed much happier. Have any of you had a baby teeth at 2 months?

it can start early but those behaviors are very typical behaviors for a baby of that age regardless of teething.

My baby started around then! She had her first 2 bottom teeth by 3.5 months! She’s 12.5 months now and has 12 teeth (4 are molars) and all 4 canines coming in now!

If the binky makes her happy, it's likely your baby is just looking to comfort suck and is upset when milk comes out. my LO started doing this around that age. Teething can start as early as 3-4mo, since it can take months for the teeth to actually cut.

The same exact thing is happening with my 2 month old. I'm wondering also! He's been a little fussier than normal and has been drooling like crazy.
