Best grocery store color protecting shampoo?

Hey ladies, 
I’m getting my hair done for the first time in YEARS and it’s going to be quite an adventure. I’m going from blonde to red! I want to make sure the color stays as long as possible, but I can’t afford $20-a-bottle professional color protecting shampoo at the moment. 
Do any of you have a favorite grocery/drugstore-bought color protecting shampoo? If you do, please tell me in a comment below! Also, if you have a favorite prestige brand product, feel free to tell me what that is as well, so I can read about it and potentially pick some up when I have a little more money. TIA!! 😘

I’d look into hask or OGX brands. I used them for blonde so I can’t recommend a specific one, but they are mostly sulfate and paraben free, and very gentle on hair.
They have both brands at target! 😊

Make sure your getting a shampoo that is sulfate free, that is what strips the color out of your hair. Also when washing your hair especially when you have red hair rinse in cool water that helps keep the color in longer. Are you getting it professional done? Since you are going from blonde to red you'll need a filler to keep the color in longer.
