My so called friend said I COULDNT be godmother of her unborn child anymore because she wanted FAMILY to be the godparents because she doesn’t think friends will show up but come to find out she has a different FRIEND as godmother NOT family. So she LIED to me. 
Mind you she was one of the godmothers of MY unborn child before she knew she was pregnant.

None of my friends will be god parents to my children. Friends come and go. I rather family. Some people feel that way. 
Try not to be hurt over it.

Find a different godmother not to be petty but how she treats you will be how she treats the child, so would you want a shady lying person to have rights over your child if something happens to you?

I think it makes perfect sense that she'd prefer to pick someone within her family.. You should try to understand that this isn't about you or being done to hurt you. She's just thinking about what SHE feels, is best for HER child. Let it go.

It's literally a tittle nothing really comes out of being a godmother to be honest, all you get is you're the godmother and that's it.

I would find that offensive too, but I would talk it out.
My childhood friend I knew for years recently had a baby and she didn’t invite me to her baby shower, but invited people that weren’t as close to her and she even invited my sister. She and her family accused me of telling people she was pregnant so she didn’t invite me when I never did. It made me upset, but I realize, I didn’t need to be upset over someone who doesn’t care about me. Or someone who thought negatively about me. 
Talk it out with her. But don’t be invested that she didn’t choose you because that has nothing to do with your character, but hers.
