Feeling like the shittiest person ever

We're so broke. We aren't able to buy any Christmas gifts and it breaks my heart. Our child is 9 months so luckily he doesn't understand how bad parents we are who can't give him anything, except for necessities. I feel so ashamed when I have to tell people not to give us anything because we won't be able to buy anything for them. I feel so shitty when I hear about all the gifts people are buying because I wish I could give my close one's something as well. I wake up with anxiety every day as Christmas is approaching. I just want to cancel everything and go hide somewhere.
