Nexplanon question

I got it for the first time 3 weeks ago. The part closest to the insertion point is much closer to the skin than the rest of it. Should it be? I can actually see the outline of it just beneath my skin near the insertion point.

But at the other end of it, farthest from the insertion point, it’s deeper and I can’t see the outline but I can still feel it like I’m supposed to. Shouldn’t the whole thing be like that?

Have any of you ever had one at a slight angle down into your arm? I don’t want it making its way back out!!
