IUI and low morphology/volume

For those that IUI worked, when did you have intercourse before and after IUI? I’ve read it’s common to have intercourse night of trigger, IUI 36 hours later, and intercourse after IUI or the next day. Husband has low morphology and volume on lower end of normal. Last cycle we had intercourse 2 days before trigger making abstinence 3 days before IUI and was told volume was better. I see an OB doc so not sure what it did for count or anything else. I’m just worried if we don’t have intercourse night of trigger and I ovulate before the 36 hour mark we will miss our chances again. Thoughts?
