So, let me just start off by saying that I live in Alabama, my MIL keeps nagging and telling me that my son can be forward facing because apparently the laws here for carseats can forward face if the baby weighs 20 lbs. I don't know how true this is as I have not looked into it yet. But it's an annoyance because she insists on it for some reason and I choose to keep my son rear facing until he is at least a year or two old to sit forward facing. I'm not sure what the recommendation is for changing to forward facing, as I am a FTM year but regardless of what the law allows here I really do not feel safe about putting him forward at this point. Please give me some insight. It's literally been a hassle hearing her tell me that all the time
