Mother-in-law crossed me

So the other day my in laws watched my daughter. I made sure to feed her right before they arrived so that they wouldn’t need to worry about it.

My father in law starts feeding my daughter right when I said,”Oh I just fed her an hour ago.” He started stuffing bread in her mouth along with some hearty soup. Completely ignores me. My mother in law arrived probably an hour after that & she loves feeding my daughter too. She started feeding her with snacks (yogurt melts, cereal puffs & cookies).

That day my daughter pooped 4 times. 4 times! She usually only poops 1-2 times a day.

The next day my mother in law approached me & said “your husband (her son) seems to think I overfed baby the other day” I replied,”Oh I hope not. She pooped a lot the other day”

So apparently she goes back to my husband & tells him that I shouldn’t treat her this way. Excuse me!? What way?!

We were also having a Christmas party to go to & my in laws asked me to have my daughter wear her Christmas outfit already so that they wouldn’t need to change her. I had her dressed in a cute outfit but had a back up outfit in case of emergencies (food spilled, spit up, blow out, etc.) When my in laws met us at the Christmas party with my baby I noticed she was wearing her emergency outfit. I asked my mother in law if my daughter had an accident. And she said,”No, I just thought this outfit was prettier.”

I am pissed! I have never yelled at my mother in law. I’ve never been rude to her to her face. Of course I’ve been upset but I never let her know out of respect. Am I wrong for being angry? I don’t think so...
