Tonsil and Adenoids removal??

Question

I just had my tonsils and adenoids removed today and I’m in so much pain. And I physically feel like I can’t swallow or speak. Any advice, other to take medicine as directed and have lots of popsicles?

I was told avoid dairy, it can be bad for the healing!  I’m actually considering having a tonsillectomy done myself, so I really mean this when I say best of luck to you!!

Maybe a protein drink here and there to help you keep up a healthy level of protein while you're throat hurts. 🙂 Other than that, lots of rest! I remember getting mine out when I was about 6 or so and my mom and dad pulled my mattress inti the living room and made a big cozy bed and let me just watch movies and sleep all week. Lol
