Any stay at home wives who are constantly judged by your SO’s family for not having a career?

Yes. Not constantly. But once my husband joined the Army he told me I could be a SAHM to our 6 month old and they asked me so many questions...they said I could still work and they would babysit him for me meaning my MIL and her mom so my husbands grandma. Both of them were SAHMs too so you think they wouldn’t be so pushy and judge mental.

Just out of curiosity, do you mean stay at home wife? Or stay at home mom? To me, those are two different things.

I work part-time and I still get flack from SO’s mother. He is very ambitious and I have supported him through a 4 year degree and then another post grad specialization. He is also an officer in he national guard (which is no small commitment). 
Because we live far from family with 2 small children and have no help, it is just easier for us if I’m home more. His mother will literally ask every time she calls if I “have a job yet” (I am a university professor who teaches a couple of classes on contract each semester and I have been at my current school for almost 3 years). She also makes a lot of comments about how he has so much financial responsibility and that I don’t pull my weight and I’m a “princess”. 
Honestly, she’s just a jealous cow whose husband left her so she had to work full time. She also hates his aunt (her own sister) who is a SAHM. We ignore it- and if she asks him about my professional life, he tells her to ask me herself 🙊 Which she is too much of a coward to do.

Nope. My husbands mom has been a stay at home mom since she was pregnant with him.

I’m lucky in that my husband understands and appreciates everything I do round the house and for the kids.

I’m a stay home wife , I go to school while he takes care of the bills and I take care of home . The only opinion I care about is my husbands .

No , I am a SAHM and my / his family actually encourages it and respects it. We don’t have any help financially from others though.

Stay at home wife or stay at home mom? Two different things... I know some girls who are stay at home wives and all they do is sleep all day, make dinner, and take selfies. 🤷🏻‍♀️

No. I’ve never felt judged for being a SAHM. Sometimes I myself wish I had a career but we’re our own worst critics 🤷🏻‍♀️
