Bleeding when pregnant!?

Please can someone give me advice. 
I’m not sure if I’m being dramatic or careful. A week ago I did 2 pregnancy tests both came up at positive, I called doctors an I’m not in till Thursday as that was their soonest appointment. 
My mum worked it out from my last period and thinks I’m roughly 5 weeks. I’ve had the odd spotting this week that’s been brownish pink but today I’ve had more red period blood.

while it is common for some woman to have slight bleeding particularly in the first trimester it is not ever considered normal to have any bleeding during pregnancy you will need to go to the doctor and be evaluated you may have had what's called a chemical pregnancy you may be having a miscarriage you may have subchorionic Hemorrhage behind the placenta there's no way of determining the reason why you're bleeding it could be an irritable cervix you need to have it evaluated

It can be normal and everything can be fine. It could also be a chemical pregnancy, which is a very early miscarriage. You'll have to have your HCG levels tested to confirm. I'm sorry I can't give you an answer, you'll have to see your doctor.

Thank you both, I went to see the doctor last night and they referred me straight to the gynae ward. I had an examination which they found my cervix was still closed which is good news, however I’m still waiting for my bloody results and swab tests to come back. They said it doesn’t look like a miscarriage but my bleeding has gotten heavier An I’m just so worried and scared
