Getting checked...

I’m a twenty one year old virgin. I’ve been thinking about getting checked out by a gynecologist for a while now. I just want to make sure I’m healthy down there. I have not been

sexual active with anyone else. I have masturbated before though. I get bumps/ cysts on my vulva often. Is it a wasted of time to get check out by a gynecologist when your a virgin? Does it hurt? What can I expect?
