Is heart rate low?

I am 17 +4 (still not felt movement) everything seems to be going great (after losing 2) with our first, a little baby girl. But im just a bit concerned. Last week at the midwifes her bmp was at 142. Nice and in the middle if range. I have recently inherited a doppler cousin (that I know works). When my husband and I tried it tonight the bmp read at between 125 and 132?!? Is this ok/normal.... it seems low. Didnt know it could change that much. Should I get in touch with the midwife. X

My doppler reads the same but at every doctors appointment its in the 140s your baby is fine the doppler is not always accurate on heart rate.

I'd call your midwife but I wouldn't panic yet, because we aren't trained professionals, sometimes we mommies can misuse, misread or not care for our equipment properly which can all alter the real results! So it could be fine! I'd just get a second opinion just in case!

Are you 100% sure it was the babies heart beat? When I first started using mine I was catching the placenta all the time.

when we went to doc apps our last daughter's was always so low.. like 130s. worried me cuz other children were always higher. she was born perfectly fine, no issues with heart or anything!

a home fetal Doppler always reads less than what the doctor's office Doppler will read :) The Mhz are higher for the doctors Doppler so they have a more accurate reading. don't panic :)

Between 110 and 170 is perfectly normal. Home dopplers are great to listen to but they're not great at timing every beat: the reading on the screen is often a bit off. If you're worried, count the number of beats you hear in 15 seconds and multiply by 4. Then talk with your provider if you're still concerned. 
For us, baby's HR is always about 140 at the OB, but the home doppler reads 125.
