When is it the right time to have a second child?

Id like to know when y'all think its the right time to have a second child.

There is no "right" time. Just make sure you don't get pregnant for at least 9 months after giving birth (due to risks it poses for you and next baby). Other than that-there are pros and cons to any age span.

It’s totally on a personal preference. A lot of factors go into your decision such as The temperament of your first child, your finances, your living situation, your health, etc. 
I want to have another and my son is only seven months old lol. But I’m waiting on a bigger place to live and to start working

I don’t have a lot of input on this since I’m trying to figure this out myself! They (doctor peoples haha) do recommend waiting 18 months after having your first to get pregnant again tho to give your body a chance to recover and give your next baby the best chance of being healthy (:

For me it is so much easier having a 7 year old and a newborn because he helps and is self-sufficient. I don’t have the energy or patience for 2 small ones under the age of 4. Nope. Don’t know how you ladies do it

we just had our second on dec 5th and our son will be 4 on Jan 7 so one month shy of 4 years apart and boy am I glad we waited it took us 6 mo to get pregnant so it made the age gap bigger and I was worried the gap was too big but to be honest if he was any younger it would be so much harder

In my opinion 3 to 4 years age gap. I had always said I wanted my kids 2 years apart but my son is 16 months and there is no way I want another one right now. I want him a little more independent before bringing another baby into the mix. Just my opinion though 🙂

whenever you feel ready. for us it was 8 years after my first (who was from a previous marriage).

My kids are 2 years apart and honestly it’s so tough, I wish I would have had my second a little sooner or later. That’s just in my case though, some kids are awesome with a 2 year age gap!

I don't have kids myself yet (ttc) but there was a 2 year gap between me and my sister, we always fought so much and didn't have a good relationship until we were teenagers. So I think 2 years is too close, 3 - 4 is better IMO :)
