Do pool staff have the right to go through your phone to make sure you’re not contributing to child pornography/pedophilia?

I’m not sure what your laws are like there, but photographing in public spaces is protected here. If there’s a direct concern like someone viewing CP in public they should just call the damn cops.

Ban phones, ban photography or whatever, but don’t think I would allow a stranger to go through my phone without a warrant.

Not unless someone is acting suspicious. In that instance they should deffo call the police to check, but the swimming pool staff themselves should not search through the phone.

I don’t think they have the right period. Sorry. No warrant no access to the phone.
I understand the concern, but I mean how do u regulate who is taking pix of random kids and whose taking pix of their own kids. 
Even then it’s really hard to pin point the person out unless they’re being extremely obvious about it. Or are caught then at that point I can understand it. But like walking up to me because u think I’m taking pix of kids doesn’t grant u access to my phone. Idk it seems really hard to regulate that.

Nooo thats person property they have no right to go through anyone’s phone. They can report it to there county police department if they see any weird actions with a certain person but it’s illegal to go though anyone’s phone.
