Bassinet or Pack N Play??

Question

So after lots of online reviews/research I decided I want the halo swivel bassinet and that I did not need a pack n play/bassinet cause I will have a crib, however now I’m kinda debating getting the Nuna pack n play and using it as a bassinet as it would last long and seem to be more functional after (don’t know what I’d really use a pack n play for but you never know)  Nuna is birth to 18 months I think and the Halo is birth to when they flip over and a lot of people say they barely used it and it became a hassle after, I know the choice seems obvious but I’m worried about the state I’ll be in after I give birth and that I may need the convenience of the halo for if I have a hard recovery? Opinions? What Should I go with? (pregnancy has made my indecisiveness so much worse) I’m debating bringing up getting both to my husband but I kinda know how that’s gonna go since we already decided we didn’t need a pack n play 😂

Pack n play. You'll get way more use out of it in the long run than the bassinet. But ultimately its totally your decision

We have a pack n play in the living room, crib in the nursery and Halo in the bedroom. In the long term, a Pack n play will get the mist use.Yes the Halo is excessive, and you just don’t know if it will work for your child and for how long. but I still really wanted it. We ended up getting it as a gift and I couldn’t imagine not having it next to my bed. I love it. 
I think some things are just worth it, even if its short lived or expensive- and each person will have a different priority. So what is yours? 
You can always buy second hand to save money and sell it when your done ( they are all over craigslist).

Definitely a pack n play. I had a halo bassinet and while it was nice while I was recovering from my csection, we quickly moved to a pack n play because my LO hated swaddles and loved stretching out. Which the halo wasn't wide or long enough for very long. Plus the pack n play usually has a bassinet, a changing area and the larger sleeping area/playpen for later. Save your money and get a pack n play.

I LOVED the Halo. We used it til baby was 5mo old, & he slept through the night in it starting at 9w. More than worth the $!!

I honestly believe both are really convenient items. We have a Halo in our bedroom, a crib in her nursery, and a pack-n-play downstairs in our living room. She sleeps in the Halo at night (it's next to our bed) and takes naps in the Pack-N-Play during the day. She also takes naps in her DockATot during the day. The pack-n-play has a newborn napper and a changer on it so it comes in handy during the day because I do not have to run upstairs to change her diaper. The crib is there for when we are comfortable with her sleeping in her nursery, which will not be any time soon.

I got my halo used on Craigslist in perfect condition. the previous owner had only used it for 3 months. It's the premier with a mobile, 3 sets of sheets, and the water proof pad. I got it for 100! Since I saved so much I'm getting a pack and play too! try and find the halo used. you can take off all the fabric on it and wash it.

The Nuna Sena is beautiful, and if you do get a pack n play, that’s definitely a good one! We were actually debating the same exact thing as you, but decided on the Halo. Our son loved the Halo, and the swivel motion and bed height were amazing after my c-section. We figured we’d get the Sena afterward whenever we needed it, but 3 months later I still can’t find a use for a pack n play, so we still don’t have one. Instead, we have foam floor tiles on our wood floors and we let our son play on them. Once he starts crawling I may get him a large playyard, but not a pack n play because they’re pretty small for active babies.
Whichever decision you go with it’ll be fine, as long as you have a crib to move your baby into after a few months.

Check out the Baby Trend "Close N Cozy" nursery center. It has a bassinet topper that actually looks safe (firm flat surface) and seems like you could have it right next to the bed and be able to reach in easily. Then when baby outgrows the bassinet part you still have a pack & play to use. I don't have this item, I just saw it when I was registering my Baby Trend Twin Nursery Center.

Pack and play all the way. I went with the four moms. I was in between the Nuna and the four moms and went with the four moms. It seems more roomy and like you can see into baby more. But I like the looks of hen both. Love the way they fold super easy and compact. You prob will get to use it longer than 18 months too.
