🤷🏻‍♀️What to expect for lab work?

What kind of testing is done during doctor visit after 1 year of TTC? I know husband will have to give semen sample but no one explained what kind of testing I will have done. Are they looking at hormone levels? Thyroid? Ultrasound?

My blood work for infertility consisted of ; Anti-Mullerian Hormone (AMH), Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), Luteinizing Hormone (LH), Estradiol, Progesterone, HCG 
They also took blood for a full STD panel which included; syphilis, HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and Chlamydia. These test are required at the clinic I was going to in order to get IUI or IVF. 
Also on the day of the blood work I had a vaginal ultrasound to evaluate for any abnormalities as well as having a follicle assessment done. 
It sounds like a lot but it was really just a few tubes of blood and an ultrasound.

Yes a full work up. I just completed mine. So STDs, HIV, thyroid levels, diabetes. And on CD 3 and 21 more blood work to see if you’ve ovulated. The ultrasound is to make sure you don’t have any cyst. I also had a HSG test to see if there was any blockage. 
Now the ultrasound and HSG is normal, my doctor did say he would like for my thyroid levels to go below 2.5 so I am now on medication so fingers crossed, baby dust to you all!

Yes like thyroid issues anything abnormal in the bloods. Std testing etc. He may not have to give semen right away. Least my fiance didn't. I Also had a full pelvic ultrasound as well.

I’m in the same boat except we’ve only been trying for 6 months. Going to Dr in Jan. I’ve had friends go for the dr and her lab work done and they find one thing needs some kind of help, medication, etc and then they get pregnant. Hope we both get the help we need! They took blood sample, urine, and did vaginal ultrasound for me. They’re checking your hormone levels, making sure diabetes, cancer, tumors, cysts, aka all the “bad stuff” is in the clear for why you’re having issues getting pregnant. It’s nothing to worry about, they are there to help you accomplish conceiving 🤗 You’ll feel so much better after you see a Dr. I know I was relieved to find out nothing is wrong with me.
