what should i do?

so my bf and i are in a fairly new relationship and he rarely ever texts. we don’t call or facetime eachother. i wanna text/call him more often but i usually don’t because i don’t wanna bother him. i never get to see him either because neither of us can drive yet and we live about 20 mins away from eachother. we don’t have trust issues and i’m not worried he’s talking to other girls. advice plssss 💓 should i just text him or call him and not worry i’m bothering him? idk i can be shy lol
