I'm only 18 years old, but I want to be a mother so badly.... Everyone says that it isn't right for me to have a baby until I'm much older, but I want it so badly.... Is there something wrong with me for wanting to be a mother so badly? I so confused.....

there is nothing wrong with wanting to be a mother. Age is just a number it will happen when it happens with the person it is meant to happen with. I want to be a mom too and sometimes I get some baby fever/hear my clock ticking...but then I see people in public with 3+ kids, or misbehaving kids and then it goes away(I worked in the food industry for a while and hated dealing with the mess kids made). I am 21 and the fact I don't want to deal with the clean up tells me I am not ready yet

Get a dog or cat...a pet to see if you really ready because once you get a baby you can’t stop being a mom if you don’t like it the first few months it’s for the rest of your life

I️ am 19 almost 20 and trying to conceive my first. I️ have wanted this badly for a little over a year, so make sure this is serious and not baby fever. Like make sure when you smile it’s not at baby pics but at the thought of being a mom. That includes waking up at night to feed and taking them everywhere and such. Some women just have that motherly urge at a younger age. For example I️ no longer want to party, drink all the time, hook up with guys etc. but I️ want to settle down with my boyfriend and be a mom and love a child with all my heart. And yes I️ am young but we have a solid plan, and I️ feel that I️ am more mature in this aspect than other people my age. It feels like I️ am a 50 year old nurse talking to  18 year olds when I️ am with my friends, if that makes sense. Just be sure you’re serious and can handle it.

There is nothing wrong with you but understand your hormones are a strong influencing factor physically and psychologically, there is nothing wrong with having them young, it’s a good plan, but make a life plan first, finish your education n get a good job.  Anyone can become pregnant but you need to afford it and have the education to raise it comfortably, and the support group for you also mature enough to raise it, friends family a possible mate with the same life goals.  There is no joke when they say it takes a village to raise a child.  If you do it right and start planning your life around it, it will happen.

I definitely suggest getting a pet or even just babysitting. Maybe you can even get a job working with kids. I got a puppy about 7 months ago and Jesus Christ. He didn’t let me sleep, eat, even pee. I had to be at his side 24/7 or he would cry. But since you’re 18, no one can really tell you what to do. Just make sure you’re financially stable, because children are expensive.
