Sensory/texture aversions

Soo.. my son is 3 years old and he is so hard to feed because of sensory issues. He has certain texture aversions. He has had this problem since starting baby/table food. He is in therapy for it but sometimes it’s so frustrating and heartbreaking.

He also gets really bad anxiety when being introduced to foods that don’t fit what he perceives as a good texture.

Before I had him I never encountered a child with aversions relating to texture unless they were autistic. (Now I know better)

For the moms in the same situation or even mothers who have little ones that are autistic I was just wondering what you found helpful?

I just don’t see much info out there and was hoping someone that’s been through it could give me some tips that helped their child.

*Just in case someone skims through and misses some points.. HE IS NOT JUST PICKY. This is a problem that has been diagnosed by his DOCTOR and he is in THERAPY.
