15 hr car ride, kick starting period?

I'm due in 4 days and I've made a 15hr car ride in the past two days. Is it possible for that to kick start my period?? I'm experiencing light spotting. No chance of pregnancy haven't had sex. I totally didn't pack anything lol!!! Trip to walmart it is =(

I always had that happen. We used to go on a yearly vacation in other states, and i was extremely regular (as in exact 28 days), but if that long drive happened within the few days before i was due, my period would start early. I attributed it to all the muscle tension and nerves of thinking "please don't start until you're due, i don't want to deal with you on the drive there". But all the muscle tension would build up in my lower back from being stuck in that position, which would significantly increase the normal back pain/discomfort i got around the time of my period, which would make my gut feel awful. And i firmly believe that because it made me feel that crappy before i was due , that my body got confused & thought "oh ok, this is how we normally feel on day 1, so I guess it's time to start."

Why would going on a car ride effect your period? Car can't effect your hormones.
