Anxious to take test!

ss

Hi ladies!

I wanted to get some opinions on when I should take a pregnancy test, or when it would be most accurate. Also, this is my first time posting anything, but I read everyone else’s posts almost daily! So hi! 👋🏼

My husband and I are trying to conceive, and the waiting game to take a pregnancy test is killing meeee. My period is due on Jan. 3rd, and my peak ovulation day was Dec. 19th.

I know it may not happen the first few times we try, and it could take up to a year or more before a normal, healthy couple conceive, but I’m still very hopeful. 🤞🏼

I’ve been taking prenatal vitamins for months, been off birth control for months, we both eat healthy and exercise, neither of us smoke or do drugs, and I rarely drink (hubby doesn’t drink at all). I don’t drink coffee or caffeinated drinks either. I kept track of my ovulation via the glow app and using a First Response ovulation test kit. We had sex all but one day during my ovulation window, and even though it may be an old wive’s tale, I laid in bed and even elevated my hips for a while afterwards just to cover all bases lol 😊

Per Google, I’ve been having some “early pregnancy symptoms” already, but it’s hard to differentiate them from PMS symptoms since my period is due next week. I’ve read things saying a pregnancy test won’t be accurate until a few weeks after you ovulated, but others say as early as a few days before your missed period (which in my case would be less than 2 weeks after ovulation).

I’m just so anxious and excited to find out, but don’t want to take it too early. Anybody have any thoughts on when I should take the test?

Thanks in advance ladies, and good luck to anybody else trying to conceive! 💜
