40w0d - not dilated & no effacement ☹️

My due date is today. I had an appointment this morning & I’ve made literally no progress. I am not dilated or effaced at all. Thought for sure I was making progress with all the walking & squats I’ve been doing for the past 2 weeks... I’m just really bummed out right now. I know baby will come when she’s ready but I really don’t want an induction & right now it’s looking that way. I have an appointment January 4th to discuss it with my doctor. Really need some words of encouragement. Has anyone ever been in the same situation? Did you have to be induced or did baby come out on their own?
