When did your little one start walking?

My son is 15 months and still not walking, I don’t mind but people are constantly making comments about it , making me feel bad that he isn’t walking yet. I’ve tried different things but he doesn’t want to walk, he can stand up alone and walks holding onto things. The Dr checked him and said he’s fine. Any tips are appreciated!

Baby’s tend to concentrate on certain things at once. My early talker didn’t walk until 14 months and my early walker (9 months) didn’t start talking until much later. There’s such a wide range of normal. If your doctor says he’s okay, don’t worry about what others have to say:)

My friend’s baby just began walking at 14 months, and even now he’s not really a “walker” and still chooses to crawl. She’s not on this app so I would tell you if I thought there was something wrong with him or he was just a dumb baby 😉 But he’s not! He’s observant, reactive, meeting his other milestones, and physically very normal. He even likes to dance in place while standing. Walking just isn’t on his to-do list right now and that’s ok!

My doctor told me my son could walk from anywhere from 8 months - 2 years old . My son started walking at 11 months old . His cousin started walking at 14 months old

My son who is now two, started walking at 9 months, crawling at 10 1/2 months, but isn’t a talker. He says very few words but understands everything. 
Talk with your pediatrician, but all kids are different and you and your child don’t need to compete or conform to someone else’s ideas of what’s right or wrong.

I recently found out my husbands friends daughter just started walking at 10 months! My baby is 2 weeks younger so everyone started to give me shit about how my son is falling behind which super annoying but all babies do things at different times and I'm not at all concerned he'll walk when he wants to. I do try to encourage it by having several stand up walkers around the house and just holding his arms and walking him whenever he's up for it.
