Birth control pill help

I have had horrible luck with the pill in the past (weight gain, headaches, irritability, etc). I have tried lower doses of estrogen, same thing. Also tried the IUD and that gave me symptoms also, along with pain. Fast forward a few years, and now i am thinking about trying the mini pill, although i hear it is not as effective and not good for ovarian cysts (which i have PCOS). Any suggestions??
