I know this may be the unpopular post but.... Boyfriends can come and go without any responsibility. The bible teaches that all sexual relationships outside of marriage are wrong in Gods eyes. Sex was giving to us as a source of happiness but its restricted to marriage couples only.

I would like to wait for marriage, but if it happens beforehand, I don't think I'd sweat it, as I would only do it with someone I was very serious with (such as a fiancé or a long term boyfriend that I was planning on marrying)

I waited and it was completely worth it. People always say ‘you need to test drive a car before buying’ but I always said ‘I’d rather have a new car than a used one.’ 😉

ooops, i chose the wrong thing 🙄 ive been a christian all my life but never actually lived like one.. so im currently one month away from giving birth to my son who i am having out of wedlock.. the father and i are no longer together and wont be getting back  together.. but i have decided to give my whole life to the Lord and i now have a very strong desire to wait until marriage this next time around

Me and husband dated for 3 years before marriage, a year after dating we decided not have sex until we were married. (We slipped up twice). I must say, that we became even closer. It’s good to know that sex doesn’t dominate our relationship and that our relationship is built off loving each other for who we are not for “putting out”.

I wanted to and tried. I made a bad decision with an ex that left me feeling like I had to stay with him in that relationship because of what we had done. I am so glad I got out of that relationship. My husband and I waited until we were married and he was a virgin. I really hate that I have someone else to compare him and our experiences to. I don't try to do it, but subconsciously it has happened. I wish my past was different, but God made me who I am and has redeemed me anyway! His grace is always sufficient.

We waited till we were married and it was one of the best decisions we ever made. It was very important to both of us as evangelical Christians that we stayed chaste until we were married. Our honeymoon was a learning experience but also wonderful and we got the hang of it. I love that he has only been with me and shares this intimate experience with only me. The Bible calls sex “knowing”, a deep intimate connection with the other person. In marriage it’s a beautiful and meaningful experience. We were able to exercise self control before we were married, and continue to exercise it by staying pure to our vows now that we’re married
